Dolpo region trekking was officially opened for the trekkers in mid-1989. The district Dolpa owns numerous amazing tourists destination nevertheless it is not frequently visited by tourists.No doubt, Shey Phoksundo Lake and Shey Phoksundo National Park are autonomous entities to please the trekkers. This trekking trail is located in the mid-western region of Nepal.

You have to go through Shey Phoksundo National Park so that you have to have an entry permit to enter into the park here. The Phoksundo is quite bulky and it expands up to 5 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide. It is quite fascinating to witness where glaciers enter directly into the lake feed crystal clear waters. It is a calm and tranquil area to wash out all sorts of boredom and stress.
