This is a popular trekking peak in Khumbu region, a legendary trekking trail in Nepal. Island peak climbing trekking consists of a number of steep slopes and narrow ridges. Actually , Island Peak is mostly glaciated rising proudly from the Lhotse Glacier.A small col separates Island peak from the south Ridge of Lotse Shar.It is said that south –west is the part of the normal route which ease the climbers to the summit.The other name to this peak is Imja Tse in local language.

Normally, climbers or trekkers find south east and south west ridge easier to climb Island Peak and the island peak base camp is at the height of 5087 m. between Imja Tse and the lateral moraine of the Imja Glacier. Most importantly, trekkers embark on an adventure to Island Peak climbing inorder to be in the mainland of Khumbu region, Everest Base Camp 5357m. and let their dream come true .An ascent of Kala Pattar 5,545m proves a

good acclimatization hike and gives you fabulous  and the closest-up views of the world’s highest mountains including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and many  more. The summit of Island peak offers a rewarding and a superb views of pnaoramic mountaints, however, a complte  fitness  is required. Prior you go to climb  Island Peak, trekkers will  trek up the Dudh Kosi valley from Lukla, passing through a tourist hub, Namche bazar  and Tengboche on our way to Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp After they get acclimatized for the further efforts, they then wil head up the beautiful Imja Khola valley towards Island Peak. Pristine villages, serene alpine vegetations and monasteries, flora and fauna in Sagarmatha national park, hispitable poeple of the region are other hightlights of this trip.
