Poon Hill Trek

I came to Nepal December 2018 with only a few days to trek and booked through Himalaya Hub.

My guide for the trek was Rupesh, and he went out of his way to make my experience as great as possible. He is personable, energetic, and knowledgable. He helped me quite a bit answering questions about the mountains, local culture and history but just as much by setting a good pace and having good conversation.

Of course the views were breathtaking, and coming in December worked out well because the sky was clear the whole way and nothing was crowded or overbooked.

Himalaya Hub hooked me up with more than suitable accommodations while I was in Kathmandu and Pokhara and provided a driver for sightseeing tours in both cities as well. Ramesh was quite hospitable at the hotel in Kathmandu as well. There was plenty to see in both cities, so having guides was very helpful for making the best of a tight schedule.

All in all it was a fantastic experience in a beautiful country. I only wish I had more time. Hopefully I'll be back again soon to see much more.
