Starting from the crowded city of Kathmandu, you move towards the wonderful district of Rasuwa. First, you follow the Trishuli River throughout the roads of Nuwakot finally towards the destination from the bottom of the hill, you travel to Rasuwa. Into the forests of Langtang National park with the birds chirping, and the locals walking by through the narrow roads of a hill, you slowly feel the destination nearing. With the beautiful views from the hilltop with the fresh air of the wind, you truly feel nature guiding you to wonders.
Arriving at Saphru you start walking to lama hotel, a village named after a hotel established by a Tibetan. As you arrive at the lama hotel, you humble yourself with Tibetan culture and tradition. The food and the livelihood are all a part of Tibet and the lama people residing in these villages. Further to the trek, you reach Langtang village, where you encounter your first snow-capped mountain Ganesh Himal. Here onwards the trek leads you to trails of various suspension bridges, mountain tops, and glaciers within the famous Langtang valley. On your way up, you encounter numerous locals and yaks and donkeys carrying daily basis goods and supplements. In between these trails of trekking, Langtang Lirung shows itself and mesmerizes you with its beauty. Moving forward to the trek, the change in atmosphere and the environment is quite evident, sub-tropical to alpine forests and to the rocky terrains, it reminds you how beautiful and dynamic nature is. The path through the rhododendron forests with various other travelers to accompany you will make the journey a little easier.
Finally from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa, a village believed to be 200 to 300 years old. Kyanjin has a lot to offer with the beauty it holds and the traditions it resembles, it is also the end of the trail to Langtang trek. Even though the Kyanjing is the final destination for the Langtang trek, the additional side treks to the valley and the Langtang glaciers are always an option. Besides these side treks, one of the popular adventures that Kyanjin offers you is the submission of Cherko Ri a peak of 4,984m, and Tsergo Ri a rocky terrain peak guided by prayer stones and prayer flags throughout the route. The Kyanjin also offers you the privilege to explore the oldest cheese factory in Nepal and visit Kyanjin Gompa, a monastery after which the Kyanjin village is named and holds great significance among the people as it is as old as 200-300 years. It is a symbol of harmony and peace among the locals which adds more to the beauty of Kyanjin Gompa.
