my trip with the guide Kupal from Himalaya Hub Agency to the Annapurna Base Camp

Hello, following my recent tri^p to Kathmandu, to Pokhara and the Annapurna Camp Base I would like to leave that in guise of my very positive feedback concerning the quality service provided by Himalaya Hub Agency, and in particular the guide Kupal. First things first, I had to shorten at the last minute my stay in Nepal, by about 2-3 days and that made doubtfull the capacity for me to do the ABCamp, which takes more or less 7-9 days. I wasn't really what to do. The governement tourist official at the airport brought me directly to that agency, which in itself is a token of recommendation. There I had a good talk with somone in charge and he indeed carved a tour at my pace, within my time limits to the ABC and given that I liked also much to see the Pokahara lakes, he was also able to fit somehow the lakes too. Another thing of which I was very pleased, retropsepctively even more than before hand, is that the itinerary to the ABC was set up in the way to include a much more scenic afterall variant, from Phedi via Tolka to Landruk. As a guide I had Kupal. The guy was very nice, very forthcoming and took really care of things. He was really an asset, insofar as at this time of the year, even before the official beginnigs of the high season (in mid November), the ABC trail was much like a ZOO, too many people, overcrowded with a progressivelly dimininshing number of tea houses and increasing difficulties to find a bed and a blanket. People coming before us slept simply in tents outside. In the most difficult place - the ABCamp itself, where there were only 4 tea houses, he managed to find either a bed for me as well as a blanket. Another thing, given that I had had no experience in trekking in the Himalayas, even if I had had a good experience of trekking, I had hard time to find proper markings at crossroads, as in many cases there was nothing and the map was inaccurate, In this respect his presence was precious. In any case, he assisted me way back to Pokhara, and then to back to Kathmandu. The last day alone would be a very good pretext to put a good word for him, insofar as I had left on the bus from Pokhara back to Kathmandu a bag with the boots and some other things. After 8.5 h trip I simply forgot. He somehow was able to find a bus depot where the bus was serviced and we found the bag. It was hard, but it is only because of my guide that I have still those things with me. Overall I was very pleased, so this recommendation. best regards Derek A., Montreal

ABC with Ram and Ram

Himalaya Hub was recommended to us by a friend and we were able to arrange a plan for our 2 week trip to Nepal in advance. Puru was very responsive and flexible and arranged all hotels, internal transfers (including flight to Pokhara and return bus) and everything necessary for our trip to ABC via Poon Hill.  Our guide for the trek was Ram and the service that he delivered was truly exceptional. When on trek, guides are expected to arrange all accommodation, food etc and ensure that you are safe as you travel. I was impressed to see this from all the guides that I met but I believe that Ram operated on another level. Examples of this included negotiating free upgrades at the tea houses and hotels that we stayed at to ensure that we had a more comfortable stay or a room with a better view, finding additional blankets for us at the tea houses higher up where it was colder at night, keeping a close eye on me when I started to show signs of altitude sickness and successfully providing advice on how to acclimatise more rapidly so that I didn't have to resort to taking altitude medicine and deal with the inevitable side effects of those drugs. On top of this he bought us fruit while on the trek, convinced the tea houses to give us hot chocolate instead of tea/coffee and helped my girlfriend haggle with local shop owners. 10/10 performance.  A special mention should also go to our porter, also named Ram, who went above and beyond to ensure that we didn't have to lift a finger (let alone our bags). He's also a demon at card games!

ABC Trek with Kapil

Trek was easily organized in Kathmandu. We were allowed to cut down on costs as well (such as taking a bus to and from trek starting point and finishing point) which was extremely helpful being on a backpacked budget. Our guide Kapil was very friendly and a joy to trek with. He always made sure we took rests when we needed and had our safety in mind for the entire trip. Would recommend Himalaya Hub and Kapil to anyone thinking about trekking in Nepal!

Trek to Poon Hill and ABC with the Wonderful Damu!

My mate and I completed a 9 day trek to Poon Hill and ABC in mid-January with the legendary guide Damu! He was absolutely fantastic and made the trip feel like a 5 star retreat. Could recommend Damu and higher to be your guide. It was an absolute pleasure and a lot of fun spending the 9 days with him in such an unbelievable setting. Prakash from Himalayan Adventure Hub organised it all for us which made it all really easy. Cannot wait to visit again and trek with Damu!
