Ending the Arun Valley Trek in Lukla at 2,860m felt so satisfying. We had walked from subtropical jungle all the way up to Sherpa country. Our guide was so proud of us at the finish. Himalaya Hub is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal. Safe and well organized from day one. Amazing experience in Nepal.

Butterfly Paradise Arun Valley Trek
I had no idea Nepal had over 800 species of butterflies. The trail near Bung village was full of them in all colors. Our guide knew the names of so many and it made the walk so fun. Himalaya Hub is a great Kathmandu trekking agency and their guides really know the nature of eastern Nepal. The Arun Valley Trek is a birdwatching and butterfly paradise and I was not prepared for how beautiful it would be. Knowledgeable guides and porters all the way through.
Crossing Salpa Bhanjyang at 3,414m was magical. The sacred pass had prayer flags and mani stones everywhere. Our guide told us about the ancient trading route to Tibet that pilgrims have used for centuries. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and they included so many cultural stops along the way. The views of Kanchenjunga at 8,586m from the pass were breathtaking. This is an off the beaten path trek in Nepal and I loved every quiet moment of it.
No crowds. No noise. Just mountains and forest. The Arun Valley Trek Nepal is everything the busy Everest trail is not. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company that knows this hidden route well. Our guide was excellent. Life changing trek in eastern Nepal.

Warm Rai Village Cultural Trek Experience
The Rai community villages along the Arun Valley Trek were so warm and welcoming. In Marduwa at 1,500m a family invited us for tea and homemade bread. Our guide translated and laughed with them like old friends. Himalaya Hub is a local trekking operator and their connection to these communities is special. I felt like a real guest not just a tourist. Eastern Nepal trekking is so different from the busy Everest trail. Best guide in Nepal experience.
