I saw blue sheep on the trail near Shey Phoksundo National Park and almost felt like crying from happiness. The Lower Dolpo Trek is wild and remote and so different from the popular routes. Our guide was brilliant he spotted wildlife before we did and knew every shortcut. Himalaya Hub organized everything including the tricky flights and all the camping gear. This is a reliable tour operator in Nepal and you really need that in such a remote area. Dho Tarap village was the highlight for me. Great service from start to finish.
The Lower Dolpo Trek Nepal was the hardest and most rewarding trek of my life. Crossing three high passes including Kangmara La at 5,115m tested me but our guide never let me give up. He was so encouraging and always checked on my energy and breathing. Himalaya Hub is the best trekking company in Kathmandu and their support team was excellent. Tarap Valley felt so isolated and peaceful. The ancient monasteries and prayer wheels everywhere made it feel spiritual. This is a rain shadow trek so the landscape is raw and dramatic. Highly recommended trekking company.
Shey Phoksundo Lake alone was worth the entire trek. The turquoise water surrounded by cliffs and snow peaks is unreal. The Lower Dolpo Trekking route took us through Tibetan villages where people still live the old way. Our guide was patient and kind and explained so much about the Bon Po culture. Himalaya Hub is a trusted trekking agency in Nepal and their planning for this restricted area was flawless. Ringmo village near the lake was so quiet and beautiful. This is an off the beaten path trek and I loved every single day of it.
I wanted something completely different and Lower Dolpo gave me exactly that. The flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal was an adventure itself. Our guide from Himalaya Hub was calm and experienced and really understood the high altitude. Crossing Numa La Pass at 5,309m was hard but he kept our spirits up the whole time. This is a remote trek in Western Nepal and you see so few other trekkers. Himalaya Hub is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal. Safe and well organized even in such a wild area. The Lower Dolpo Trek was the most remote trek I have ever done. Shey Phoksundo Lake at 3,612m is the deepest lake in Nepal and the color is something you cannot describe with words. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the Bon Po religion and the history of every village we passed. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and they handled all the restricted area permits perfectly. Dho Tarap village felt like stepping back in time. This is a hidden treasure of Nepal trek and I am so glad I chose it. Life changing experience.
