The Mardi Himal section of this combined trek was so much quieter than the ABC trail. Walking along the ridge through rhododendron forests with the mountains slowly getting bigger every hour was magical. High Camp at 3,580m was my favorite overnight cold but stunning. Our guide told us this section was only opened in 2012 and it still feels wonderfully untouched. He was so full of pride showing us this hidden trail. Standing inside the Annapurna amphitheatre at ABC at 4,130m with Annapurna I at 8,091m, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli all surrounding me was overwhelming. I cried and I am not ashamed to say it. Our guide smiled and said everyone cries here. Himalaya Hub is the best trekking company in Nepal. Life changing 11 days.

Two Base Camps One Epic Trek From Pokhara
The Mardi Himal and Annapurna Base Camp Trek gave me two completely different base camp experiences in just 11 days. First the quiet ridge walk to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500m with Machhapuchhre so close it felt unreal. Then the legendary Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130m surrounded by a complete 360 degree amphitheatre of giants. Our guide was so brilliant at managing the transition between the two routes. He knew exactly when we needed rest and when we could push. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and their combined Annapurna trek itinerary was the smartest route in the whole region. Highly recommended trekking company.
I did the Poon Hill Trek 3 Days with my husband and our 12 year old daughter and it was perfect for all of us. No dangerous altitude, well marked trails, and the most incredible mountain views. Our guide was so patient with our daughter and carried her bag on the steep sections. He made the whole family feel safe and happy. Walking through the rhododendron forests between Ulleri and Ghorepani in April was absolutely magical. Red and pink flowers covered every tree and the whole trail smelled incredible. Our guide stopped to show us Danphe Nepal's national bird sitting in the branches and he was so excited about it. Himalaya Hub is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal and their spring timing advice was perfect. The Short Poon Hill Trek through the Annapurna Conservation Area was the most beautiful short walk of my life. Great service from start to finish.
