The Dhaulagiri Round Trek was the most powerful thing I have ever done. Standing near Dhaulagiri Base Camp at 4,740m and looking up at 8,167m of pure white mountain was something I will never forget. Our guide was so calm and experienced. He checked our boots and gear every morning before we started. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and they knew exactly how to prepare us for this kind of challenge. The Hidden Valley at 4,900m felt mysterious and wild. Safe and well organized from the very first day.
We found Himalaya Hub by chance by bumping into a friendly gentleman at Kathmandu airport, and what an experience it turned out to be. Prikesh was very reassuring and knowledgeable as soon as we stepped into his office. 2 hours after landing we had an itinerary, TIMs and permit cards and a tour guide sorted. Incredible!
Before getting to Kathmandu we weren’t actually thinking of going on the trek with a guide but, my gosh, it was the best thing we did.
There are no words for the exceptional guide that is Sandip as he genuinely made our trip worthwhile. He is so experienced on the Annapurna trek, he knew exactly where to go, the shortcuts, the timings to the next stop, where to stay, what to eat, it made the entire trek so smooth and easy for us. Not only that but he will introduce you to Nepali music, he’ll beat you at your own card games (and everybody else’s) and his hair will be perfect even after a full days trekking!!
Sadly, one of us fell ill during the trip and we had to turn around. We honestly won’t ever be able to thank him enough for his heroism, the way he looked after us, cared for us, bartered taxi prices with the locals for us, just so we could get to safety. Honestly, Sandip is our hero and without him our trip would not have been as good as it was.

I actually spotted a red panda in the forest near Guranse at 3,000m. I froze and just watched it for a full minute. Our guide whispered to stay still and smiled so wide. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and their guides really know the wildlife of Makalu Barun National Park. The whole Arun Valley Trekking experience was full of surprises like this. Best trekking company in Nepal for wildlife and nature treks.

Amazing Finish in Lukla Trek Experience
Ending the Arun Valley Trek in Lukla at 2,860m felt so satisfying. We had walked from subtropical jungle all the way up to Sherpa country. Our guide was so proud of us at the finish. Himalaya Hub is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal. Safe and well organized from day one. Amazing experience in Nepal.

Butterfly Paradise Arun Valley Trek
I had no idea Nepal had over 800 species of butterflies. The trail near Bung village was full of them in all colors. Our guide knew the names of so many and it made the walk so fun. Himalaya Hub is a great Kathmandu trekking agency and their guides really know the nature of eastern Nepal. The Arun Valley Trek is a birdwatching and butterfly paradise and I was not prepared for how beautiful it would be. Knowledgeable guides and porters all the way through.
