The Upper Dolpo Trek feels like trekking through the Tibetan Plateau. The landscape is wide open, dry, and stunning. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and their team was excellent. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and showed us where to look for blue sheep and rare birds. Saldang village at 3,770m felt timeless people still live the traditional way. Crossing Kang La Pass at 5,360m into Inner Dolpo was the gateway to something special. Safe and well organized highly recommended trekking company.
Crystal Mountain near Shey Gompa blew my mind. The whole area felt sacred. Upper Dolpo Circuit Trek with Himalaya Hub was challenging but our guide made it manageable. Jeng La Pass at 5,090m was tough. One of the best trekking agencies in Nepal for sure.

My Best Trekking Experience in Nepal
Upper Dolpo was the most spiritual trek I have done. Shey Gompa monastery at 4,200m is ancient and beautiful and the monks there were so welcoming. Himalaya Hub handled all the restricted area permits and logistics perfectly. Our guide walked with us every day and shared stories about Bon Po religion and the old trading routes. Ringmo village near the lake was peaceful and traditional. This is a Kathmandu trekking agency that really understands remote trekking. Amazing experience in the Himalayas that I will carry forever.
I saw blue sheep on the ridges near Shey Gompa and it made my whole day. Upper Dolpo Trek is a snow leopard habitat and just being there felt special. Himalaya Hub is a reliable trekking company and they know this area so well. Our guide was kind and funny.

Best Remote Wilderness Trek in Nepal
I wanted remote wilderness and Upper Dolpo gave me exactly that. Shey Phoksundo National Park is the largest in Nepal and you feel that wildness everywhere. Himalaya Hub organized the camping trek Nepal portion so well - warm meals, comfortable tents, and a hardworking team. Our guide was experienced and calm even when the weather turned bad. Numa La Pass at 5,309m and Baga La Pass at 5,214m were both tough but beautiful. Himalaya Hub is a trusted trekking agency in Nepal and I will book with them again.
