Young company with interesting prices
I would like to start to say that for the more well knowed treks in Nepal, like the ABC (the one I did) getting a guide is really not necessary. You will save a substantial amount of money if you do it without one or if you do with an independent guide. Just find a fellow traveler to do it with you and do some research before. But if you don't want to have all that trouble and what to do it with a trekking company, I can recommend Himalaya Hub. Ask for Sandip Bhattarai, this young guide from Chitwan that as amazing information about every place you go, is super helpful and takes care of everything you need during the trek.
Poon hill trek / Lumbini / Chitwan - transport and accommodation booking
Overall a good experience for ease and convience of getting around Nepal, just a few minor issues along the way.
We booked a full package with Himalaya hub which included the following:
- Bus to Pokhara plus hotel and Poon Hill trekking guide and guesthouse stay with breakfast
- Transport Pokhara to Lumbini with 2 night hotel stay with breakfast
- Transport Lumbini to Chitwan with night 3 day safari package all meals included
- Transport Chitwan to Kathmandu
Ram was very good at piecing our trip together at the beginning for us however failed slightly to be on hand at times when we really needed him for various bits of information regarding bus tickets. When he eventually replied he simply sent us a load of pictures of him on a helicopter saying 'sorry I've been on a day trip' - not exactly what we cared about seeing. However trip ran relativley smoothly, each hotel was good at sorting out our connecting bus routes. Our guide for the trek, Sandesh, was amazing and we would definitely recommend you request for him, he had good english, very chatty and enjoyed teaching us nepalese phrases.
The cost of the trip was about £700 for two so quite reasonable, however you could definitely do it cheaper without the agency and book buses and hotels as you go. We had a very poor hotel in Lumbini which is a shame as you'd expect himalya hub to know the places that they book you into but the places in Chitwan and Pokhara made up for it.
From Kathmandu to Pochara, Poonhill tracking and Chitwan Safari, Back to Katmandu
We had an exciting week with guidance of Suman, hanging around at city Pokhara and 3 days tracking through poonhill, also a city tour at Katmandu. They organized almost our whole trip and It was a great tour. Since it was mansoon season we couldn’t find much at Chitwan Safari (actually we meet with a rhino and elephant which was exciting! But our expectation was a tiger :) ) and whole trip was entertaining. We loved our Nepal trip and thanks alot to all our contributed Nepalies friends.
It was an amazing week with Suman. He is much more than a guide, he really became our friend during the tour and we still keep in touch. I strictly recommend this company and especially guidance of Suman. Namaste !!!
