Everest Base Camp Trek - 14 days - Great Experience

we had always planned on trekking to Everest Base Camp, however we had not pre booked anything prior to arriving in Kathmandu. At the airport we ran into Puru from Himalaya Hub Adventures (which ordinarily I am very cautious of) however in this case he seemed quite genuine and offered to help us negotiate a taxi fare, which he did. Given this we thought we would hear him out. He took us back to his office and went through the standard plans for an EBC trek. It all sounded logical and we asked for a day to reflect. In this time we did some shopping around to gauge the price and determined that it was a good offer. As such we continued with the planning. We booked a 14 day EBC trek with local Lukla English speaking guide (from end of Nov through Dec). We also needed to hire gear (only sleeping bag and big down jacket) which we were able to do through Himalaya Hub. A word of warning – they use gear from one of the many local shops, and unfortunately it is very old. That said the jackets were quite good, the first sleeping bags we were offered were not good enough for a summer expedition let alone a mid winter Everest Trek. After notifying Puru he put us onto another shop which had much better gear for no extra cost so we were happy with this service. We got the flight to Lukla (just as good as everyone says it is) and our guide Pemba was there diligently waiting for us. He took us in, gave us lunch and we were off. The great thing about this tour is it is fully customisable i.e. you can do all inclusive with meals, accommodation, guide etc or any combo. We opted for the accommodation (with breakfast only for meals as you have to eat at the house you stay in) and a guide, however in hindsight on the mountain all the food and all the accommodation is the same, typically the same price and the rules state that you need to eat dinner and breakfast at your lodge or there is a surcharge, so in reality we should have just paid for the all-inclusive option and then not worried about money. Pemba was excellent. He was softly spoken, however we specifically asked him to tell us interesting facts about the geography, people and architecture and he willingly did so. His English was great, and he was very caring. He was always aware of our physical situation and how we were travelling and on the occasion that we did get sick (food poisoning at a lunch stop) he was more than happy to extend the trip by a day as we were already 9 days in and needed a break to recover before we climbed any higher so as not to make it worse. This was also great to know as we had heard stories of guides pushing people to climb altitude quicker than was recommended to get them through quicker. The reality of this is that altitude sickness kicks in and you end up very sick. Pemba paced us even encouraging us to slow down on the steep climbs so that our bodies could acclimatise better. Not having pervious experience at this altitude (5000m+) this was greatly appreciated. Long story short, it was great value and everything worked. Puru was responsive, accommodating as was our guide Pemba (even taking us to his home on the final day for tea with his family!) I would happily endorse this trekking company for anyone wanting a care free and SAFE trip!

Fantastic trek with nirmal

My husband and I arrived in Kathmandu wanting to do the poon hill trek but unsure of how to do it. We meet Prakash in the Kathmandu airport. We soon found out he is the owner of himalaya Hub. He was very professional and catered our trek around how many days we had available. He organised all of our transfers and trekking permits all you need is 3 passport photos. He introduced us to our guide Nirmal. The four day trek was amazing and Nirmal was very friendly and attentive spoke very good English. Nirmal and the himalaya Hub made this trip amazing we have also booked paragliding and we will be booking Everest base camp trek with them next trip.

Epic trip, epic company

Just returned from a two week trip to Everest Basecamp and around Gokyo. Himalaya Hub organised a great trip from creating our itinerary to the day to day trekking. Puru was very helpful and communication was great from Australia, and our guide, Pema, was also excellent. Educating us on the trek, teaching us local language and ensuring we were always looked after. I'll be recommending and using this company again.

ABC with Kumar

Our trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp was an amazing experience, and our guide Kumar made it even better. He had everything settled for us, so we could focus in walking and enjoying the beautiful sights. Accommodation, permits, he took our food orders and brought our food in the guesthouses, he made sure our water bottles were always full and that we had enough blankets at night, he even helped us carry one of our bags and taught us a nepalese to trekking song. He was also very knowledgable about the area and explained the route we took every day preparing us for the daily challenge. We will definitely return and trek with him again, next time Everest Base Camp.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Himalaya Hub Adventure is a professional and well organised travel agency. Puru and his colleagues from are all very friendly and helpful. The first week I was waiting for my luggage because it stuck in Mumbai for some reason, Puru went with me to Kathmandu airport to speed things up a little and took me to the nearby Pashupatinath Temple after that. As I couldn't get my bag that day I decided to buy new gear few days after and he offered me to help me finding all necessary things for my trek. Fortunately my bag was delivered after almost one week so didn't had to buy new gear. I was on the trek with my guide Saroj Tapha and porter Saroj Sunar. Both of them made my trip an unforgettable and very nice experience trough the beautiful mountainside. I would definitely book again with Himalaya Hub Adventure and looking forward to come back next year for the Everest Base Camp trek.
