I saw a red panda in the bamboo forest near Tashigaon at 2,070m. I stopped breathing for a second. Our guide smiled and whispered stay still. Himalaya Hub is a great trekking company and their guides really know Makalu Barun National Park wildlife. Amazing experience in Nepal.

Beautiful Barun Valley Trek Experience
The Barun Valley is one of the most pristine places I have ever been. The river runs clear and cold and the forests around it are thick and wild. Our guide knew every trail and every shortcut. He was so calm even when the route got tough. Himalaya Hub is a trusted trekking agency in Nepal and their knowledge of eastern Nepal is really impressive. The Makalu Base Camp Trek took us through places that felt completely untouched by the modern world. One of the best trekking agencies in Nepal without question.
We walked for days and saw almost nobody. The Makalu Base Camp Trek is so beautifully quiet. Our guide was wonderful and full of stories. Himalaya Hub is the best trekking company in Nepal for remote adventures. Hidden gem of Nepal.

Standing Below Makalu Peak
Standing at Makalu Base Camp at 4,870m and looking straight up at Mount Makalu at 8,485m was one of the most powerful moments of my life. That mountain is massive and sharp and completely beautiful. Our guide was so experienced and kept our acclimatization perfect the whole way up. He checked on us every single morning before we started walking. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and their planning for this remote trek was excellent. No crowds, no noise just us and one of the biggest mountains in the world. Life changing trek.
