The Ganesh Himal Trek sits between the Langtang and Manaslu regions and you can see both from the high passes. That feeling of being surrounded by two giant mountain systems was incredible. Our guide was so good at explaining the geography and making us understand the scale. Himalaya Hub is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal and their route choice for this remote central Nepal area was brilliant. Tipling village with its two gompas was a cultural highlight.
The Bon Po monasteries were so unique and different from the Buddhist ones I had seen before. The Lower Dolpo experience was organized perfectly and our guide always made time to explain the cultural details. Kangmara La Pass at 5,115m was challenging but the views of Kanjiroba Himal were worth every hard breath. Ringmo village and Shey Phoksundo Lake were unforgettable highlights.

Wanted Snow Leopard Habitat and Got it
I wanted to trek in snow leopard habitat and Lower Dolpo gave me that. We did not see one but knowing we were in their home made every step more exciting. Our guide explained the wildlife and ecosystem of Shey Phoksundo National Park so well. Traditional yak caravans near Tarap Valley felt like something from another century. I loved the solitude and quietness of the whole trek.

Parvati Kunda Sacred Lake
The sacred lake Parvati Kunda near Gatlang was so still and beautiful. Our guide told us about the pilgrims who come there to pray and we sat quietly for a while. Himalaya Hub is a great Kathmandu trekking agency. The spiritual trek Nepal experience surprised me on this route. Life changing moment at that lake.

Rhododendron Forests in Full Bloom
The rhododendron forests between Gatlang and Somdang in spring were absolutely incredible. Red, pink, and white flowers covered every tree and the whole trail smelled like heaven. Our guide stopped to name every species and showed us medicinal plants growing wild. He was so full of natural knowledge. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and their spring timing was perfect. The Ganesh Himal Trek Nepal through those forests was the most beautiful walk of my life.
