The six Gokyo Lakes were the most beautiful water I have ever seen. Crystal clear turquoise surrounded by snow and glacier. Our guide sat with us at the third lake and let us soak it all in. Best Glacier Experience on EBC Gokyo Trek
Walking along the Ngozumpa Glacier near Gokyo, the largest in Nepal and then seeing the Khumbu Glacier at Everest Base Camp in the same trek was so dramatic. Our guide explained how both glaciers are changing and it made the whole landscape feel urgent and important. He was so knowledgeable about the environment. Himalaya Hub is one of the best trekking agencies in Nepal for the complete Everest region experience. The Chola Pass trek connecting these two glacier systems was the most challenging and rewarding day. Great service from start to finish.
Seeing five mountains above 8,000m in one trip Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Nuptse was something I never imagined doing. Best Everest Views from Gokyo Ri and Kala Patthar
Most people do either Gokyo Ri or Kala Patthar. We did both on the same trek and the views were completely different and equally incredible. Gokyo Ri at 5,357m gave us the turquoise lakes below and four 8,000m peaks above. Kala Patthar at 5,545m gave us Everest so close you could see the prayer flags at base camp. Our guide woke us early for both summits and cheered loudly at each one. Himalaya Hub is a trusted trekking agency in Nepal and their Everest Gokyo combined trek was perfectly planned.
