Upper Dolpo is wild and remote but I never felt unsafe for a single day. Himalaya Hub organized everything perfectly. Our guide checked on us constantly and his experience really showed. Shey La Pass at 5,010m was beautiful and challenging. Trusted trekking company Nepal.

Shey Phoksundo Lake Trek Review Nepal
Shey Phoksundo Lake alone is worth the whole trip. The turquoise water surrounded by cliffs is unreal. Upper Dolpo Circuit Trek with Himalaya Hub was tough but so rewarding. Our guide was kind and made sure we acclimatized properly. Yangze village felt like the edge of the world. Himalaya Hub is a reliable tour operator in Nepal and their camping setup was excellent. Tibetan Buddhist culture everywhere you look. I came back as a different person. Great service from start to finish and I mean that completely.
The Kalo Seto Kunda, the black and white lakes near the high pass, were stunning. Two lakes side by side with completely different colored water. Our guide explained the local legend behind them and we all sat th`ere amazed. He was such a great storyteller. Himalaya Hub is a professional trekking company and they included these hidden gems perfectly in the itinerary.

Upper Dolpo Trek with Himalaya Hub
I wanted to go completely off the grid and Upper Dolpo gave me that. Himalaya Hub is a Kathmandu trekking agency that really specializes in remote treks. Our guide was wonderful - calm, experienced, and great at handling altitude challenges. Ringmo village near Shey Phoksundo Lake at 3,612m was so beautiful and traditional. The restricted area trek in Nepal meant we saw almost no other tourists. Crossing Saldang La Pass at 5,200m tested my body but filled my soul. Safe and well organized from start to finish. Amazing experience in Nepal.
Thank you to Puru a for organising an unforgettable trip. We did the Annapurna circuit and our guides Surya and Bishal made our experience magical, they were flexible and always gave us detailed information for the days ahead and of the areas and mountains we trekked through. They were both there to support in times of need and to offer assistance. We even learned a bit of Nepali and so much about the culture. I felt like I was in safe hands the whole time with these guides and as a solo traveller I really appreciated the chance to go with other solo trekkers in a group.
