We spent a total of 20 days of pure happiness with our guide Shiva. We went to Taplejung by bus from Kathmandu, which is 28h of bus! Shiva agreed to be our guide despite the harsh travel conditions and our desire to have an authentic experience in the Kanchenjunga trek. Thanks to his good English level, we all became friends rapidly, we had good laugh, we learnt some of the Nepali culture and language. Shiva knows really well all the Kanchenjunga valley, which was a good bonus for us to learn about this area so far away from any big civilisation and Kathmandu. He managed perfectly all the accomodation and the food. Obviously I'm recommending Shiva as the best friend guide for any trek in Nepal! On my second Himalayan trek to the basecamps of Kanchenjunga our 33year old guide Shiva did everything possible to make this adventure unforgettable. Not only his service was remarkable, all of us became friends during these 3 weeks. He fit perfectly in our group of 4 young French guys and me. Shiva watches carefully the needs of all members in his group so everybody feels well guided. I really enjoyed his calm presence his dry humor and his sensational feeling for service. Important for us was to be flexible on the itinerary. Due to unpredictable occurrences like weather or sickness the itinerary is never craved in stone on treks in Nepal. We had one spare day left we spent after the trek in Ilam to chill out and enjoy the benefits of civilization. We payed accommodation and food ourselves, permits busses and jeeps were organized by the organization. Shiva chose the accommodation each night and we were pretty happy with his choices. I recently completed the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley trek with Himalayan Hub Adventure, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the technical aspects of the trail to the logistics of a multi-week expedition, the team was flawless. Guide: Shiva Shiva is a phenomenal guide. His knowledge of the terrain and local culture, especially within the Tsum Valley, added immense depth to the journey. He has an incredible ability to read the pace of the group and adjust accordingly, ensuring everyone stayed healthy and motivated for the Larkya La pass. His professionalism and calm demeanor made even the most challenging sections of the trek feel manageable and safe. Porter: Rasom Rasom was equally impressive. The strength and efficiency he displayed throughout the trek were remarkable. My gear was always handled with care, and he consistently arrived at our destinations with a smile, often going out of his way to make sure we were comfortable as soon as we reached the teahouse.

We had no plans when we arrived in Nepal few days back. Arrived at the airport and we were approached by Himalaya Hub and brought to their office. We thought it was a scammed. Not knowing what to expect. So we sat down with Mr Prakash and listened to his recommendations/offer. After few rounds of Masala teas and a good laugh, we were recommended to go to few places in Nepal. Himalaya Hub booked everything for us from the transportation up to the accommodations (Hiking trip, Bhaktapur and Nagarkot). Not being an avid climber, we decided to the take the easiest track which is the Australian Base Camp - Dhampus - Sarangkot. We were given an awesome guide Mr. Ramkumar and 2 porter Jit and Ganesh. Mr. Ramkumar was being patience and dedicated towards us to assist us. We were quite slow and taking our own sweet time during the hike. During the hike, he was very informative. He explained to us the names of the glorious peaks, ethnic/tribe, animals and plants. And always reminded us on the safety. He is like a brother to us. Hahahaha. He also make sure that we eat on time and assist us on almost anything and everything. Even in Pokhara, he suggested us some places and we decided to go to the International Mountain Museum. Basically he guided us throughout the visit. Bottom line you cannot go wrong with Himalaya Hub and please ask for Mr. Ramkumar as your guide as he will make your trip an awesome and memorable.
